This is part one of my ridiculous I-live-a-lucky-life trip of October 2015. It took me to (the) Milan (airport), up to the foothills of the Alps in Bergamo, through many roundabouts to Como, across a lake to Bellagio, and then climbing our way up into the mountains of the Dolomites. Then later of course to Iceland, but that’s another story.
A medieval city of windy streets, tourists, and sturdy stone walls. We spent one night in the Citta Alta to get our bearings.
One quick day trip while staying in Como. Worth getting on a boat for.
A long, winding drive up into foothills, through valleys, and into mountains.
We stayed in an extremely well-situated AirBnb across the lake from the town of Alleghe. It being October, there was plenty of rain, snow, fog and cloudiness — and it was still wonderful.
A valley within the park of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. It was cloudy enough that actually seeing the Tre Cime was basically impossible; but we sure did see the rest.
Two last shots; first the church which spawned this adventure in the first place, alone in a field, nestled close by mountains and clouds. And then the main square of Brescia, one last stop before we had to head back to the airport.
